About Your Visit
What to expect, who shows up, how visits work.
How do pets work during a clean?
Pets stay in their home — your cleaner works around them. Tell us where they'll be and how they react to strangers, and we'll plan around it.
Who shows up to clean my home?
The same cleaner every visit. A W-2 employee of Broom Maids — background-checked, trained, on our payroll. Not a contractor, not a different person each week.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Visit one is a reset. Visit two is free, on purpose, so we can adjust what didn't land. By visit three your home plan is locked in and it starts to feel routine.
Why is my second clean free?
Because we expect to adjust things after the first visit. The free second clean is calibration, not a discount — it's how we get your checklist right before your routine starts costing money.
What is the "Lock-In" visit?
Visit 3. It's the first time we run your fully tuned checklist — same cleaner, every service level set based on your feedback from visits 1 and 2. From here it should feel right every time without you having to think about it.
Do I need to clean before you arrive?
No. Pre-cleaning before your first visit actively hurts what we're trying to do — we need to see your home as it actually lives so we can set service levels correctly.
What happens after my home plan is locked in?
After visit 3, your cleaner runs the same plan every visit — same person, same routine, no managing or re-explaining. Visit 4 includes a thank-you bonus detail (inside oven, inside fridge, window tracks — your pick). From visit 5 forward, it's pure recurring.
What does a typical cleaning include?
There isn't a "typical" — your clean is built from your home plan, which we calibrate to your specific home over the first three visits. Every room and surface has a service level set to what you actually need.
What time does my cleaner arrive?
We use arrival windows, not exact times. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm windows — morning and afternoon start times]. You'll get a heads-up the morning of with a tighter ETA.
Do I need to be home?
No, and most clients aren't. You give us access — key, lockbox, door code, garage code — and we lock up when we leave.
Can I work from home during the clean?
Yes, lots of our clients do. Tell us which room is your office and we'll clean it around your schedule — first, last, or skipped that day.
How long does a visit take?
It depends on your home, your service levels, and how long your cleaner has been on your house. Visits are priced to the result, not the clock — same price every visit, regardless of duration.
What if my cleaner is sick or unavailable?
Your backup cleaner steps in. We try to send your primary and backup together on visit one so the backup already knows your home.
Do you drug test your cleaners?
[PLACEHOLDER: confirm policy. Manus assumed "Yes — pre-hire screening as part of background check." Alternative: leave answer at "every cleaner is a W-2 employee and completes a background check before hire" without specifying drug testing either way.]
