How We Clean Your Home

Different surfaces need different chemistry. Hard water leaves deposits that scrubbing can't remove. Grease needs degreaser, not dish soap. Most cleaning services use the same products on everything. This page exists because we don't. The pattern of mediocre results is familiar. Surfaces that look clean but aren't. Grout that never gets clean. Shower glass that's always foggy. The problem isn't effort — it's approach. If you've had a cleaning service and been disappointed, it's likely because they treated your home as a single task rather than a collection of specific surfaces with specific needs. We think about cleaning as a system: Problems → Method → Outcome. When you tell us about your home in the quote form, that information travels directly to your cleaner. We document every item and method. The advantage of having the same cleaner every visit is that they build a mental model of your home, getting more efficient and effective over time.

Common problems we solve

Most of our clients start here. Pick what’s bothering you and we’ll show you how we handle it.

Soap Scum: Foggy shower glass that never gets clear no matter what you use. We use low-pH chemistry to break the alkaline bonds. [Link to Soap Scum] Dust Buildup: Dust that comes back in two days. We address the sources and settling patterns. [Link to Dust Buildup] Greasy Stovetop: The sticky film that wiping just moves around. We use finish-safe degreasers to break the layers. Why we document this

Transparency is our differentiator. Every item in your home has a documented method. Every problem has a defined response. You know what you're getting before we walk in. Everyone who cleans for Broom is directly employed — not a 1099 contractor, not a gig match. They are hired, trained, and background-checked by us. We operate exclusively in the Denver metro area, and our training includes Denver-specific challenges like our hard water. Your second clean is free while we dial in the routine. Free on purpose — not a discount, not a gimmick. It's how we make sure the routine is right before you're locked into anything.

How this becomes your cleaning plan

1

We start from this playbook. Every room and item in your home has documented methods at each level.

2

You tell us what matters most. Pet hair? Hard water? A kitchen that never feels clean? We adjust the levels to match.

3

We save it as your visit checklist. Your cleaner runs the same plan every time, and we improve it based on your feedback.

Most-asked guides

How service levels work

Every item in your home has up to three cleaning levels. Your plan frequency determines the default level, but you can always customize.

Light

Quick maintenance — surface wipe, dust, or spot clean. Keeps things tidy between deeper cleans.

Regular

Thorough clean — scrubbing, sanitizing, and detail work. The standard for most biweekly and monthly visits.

Deep

Intensive restoration — descaling, degreasing, behind-and-under cleaning. Used on rotation for deep cleans and move-in/out.

Weekly plans lean toward Light and Regular. Monthly and deep clean plans lean toward Regular and Deep. You always choose what matters most.
