How We Clean Your Mirror

Mirrors reveal every imperfection, from lingering streaks caused by incorrect technique or product residue to the stubborn, cloudy film left by Denver's moderately hard water. The challenge isn't just removing visible dirt, but achieving a truly invisible, flawless surface that enhances your home's brightness.

What we don't do

  • We never use paper towels or terry cloth on your mirrors, as these materials can shed lint and leave behind fibers that detract from a clear finish. We also avoid harsh, ammonia-based cleaners that can damage mirror backings over time, especially on older or antique mirrors. For hard water spots, we do not aggressively scrub, which can scratch the glass; instead, we use a targeted, low-pH solution to gently dissolve mineral deposits.

Why we do it this way

Wiping a mirror directly with a wet cloth or spraying cleaner onto the glass often leads to streaks because the product isn't evenly distributed or the cloth becomes oversaturated. Our method involves spraying the microfiber cloth first, ensuring a controlled application that breaks down residues without leaving excess moisture. We then use overlapping S-strokes, which prevents re-depositing grime and ensures every inch of the surface is cleaned once, leading to a perfectly clear finish.
